Veterinary Practice Signage: New Branding for The Pet Vet
A vet’s front door has a lot to do. It needs to reassure a nervous owner, be easy to find from the car park, and reflect a brand people trust with their animals. For a new Pet Vet practice, Image Sign Studio produced and installed a full signage package, inside and out, that does all three.
About the project
The Pet Vet is a large chain of independent, family-owned veterinary practices across the UK. Its “we care” identity, with lime green lettering and an orange cross-and-paw emblem, has to look the same at every site, from the street to the reception desk. Image Sign Studio produced and installed the practice’s exterior and interior signage.
Shopfront signage that gets noticed
Aluminium tray signs. Two oblong aluminium tray signs are mounted on the front of the practice, raised above door height. The larger carries the strapline “Your independent family vet. Always…” beside a warm photograph of a vet with a puppy. The smaller carries the logo and “we care”. Aluminium tray signs are a popular choice for shopfront signage because they’re durable, weather-resistant and keep printed colours crisp. They also suit a multi-site rollout well, because every sign can be made to the same specification.
Illuminated projecting sign. Above the entrance, an illuminated projecting sign shows the logo, the strapline, the website address and the phone number. Because it sticks out from the building, it can be seen from along the street, and the lighting keeps it visible in the darker months and after closing time.
Window graphics that work harder
The glazing has been put to good use. Large vinyl window graphics show the practice’s vets with a dog and a cat, adding warmth and personality. Smaller graphics carry the essentials: the website, the phone number, and a “free parking for paying customers” message. That last one answers a question customers are likely to ask before they arrive. Frosted manifestation dots on the entrance glass make the doors easy to see and add a tidy finishing touch.
Interior signage: brand impact at reception
Image Sign Studio also supplied the interior signage. A curved feature wall carries the logo in dimensional 3D lettering, with the lime green and white letters and the orange paw-and-cross emblem standing proud of the dark background. A printed panel sets out the practice’s independent, family-owned values, and wall graphics with a well-known quote about animals add a softer touch to the waiting area.
Why consistent signage matters for multi-site brands
For a growing chain, signage is a big part of how the brand comes across. Getting it right means:
- Consistency: matching colours, fonts and materials at every branch
- Visibility: signs that work from the road, the car park and the pavement
- Durability: materials that stand up to British weather
- Safety: clear glazing markings and properly installed fixtures
